Police: Local Man Flees After Abducting Young Woman
He faces assault, other charges stemming from violent argument in her vehicle.

A Woodbridge man is wanted by police for allegedly hitting and abducting a young woman from Stafford County on Thursday night, cutting off her attempt to use her vehicle's OnStar communication system to call for help.
Jesse Mbila Luita Tambu, 27, of 15502 Travailer Court, is has been charged with abduction, assault and battery, and destruction of property, the Prince William County police said. He's described as a black man, 6 feet tall and weighing 175 pounds with a dark complexion, black hair and brown eyes.

The victim, a 22-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries in the incident, but she was able to contact a family member who notified police, a police report stated.
At 12:21 a.m. Friday, officers responded to the scene of the abduction, in area of Allen Dent Road in Dumfries, but Tambu fled the area before they arrived, according to the police report.

The victim told police that she and Tambu, an acquaintance, were traveling in her vehicle on Interstate 95, in the area of Prince William Parkway, when they got into an argument that escalated.
When the woman tried to use her vehicle's OnStar system to get help, Tambu damaged the system, then punched her in the face and tied her hands together, the police said. Tambu then commandeered the vehicle, exited I-95 and drove to Allen Dent Road, where he parked the vehicle.
After investigating the incident, the police obtained warrants for Tambu's arrest.
