Police: Man Stabbed in Face During Fight

The suspect in Thursday night scuffle is at large, say Prince William County police.

The Prince William County police are searching for an unidentified suspect who stabbed a Woodbridge man in the face Thursday night during an argument, according to a police report.

Officers responded at 8:41 p.m. Thursday to the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Highway (Route 1) in Woodbridge to investigate the report of an assault. They found out that the victim, a 35-year-old man, was involved in a verbal altercation with an acquaintance that had escalated.

During the argument, the suspect flashed a knife and stabbed the victim in the face, the police said. The victim was able to flee the area and contact police. He was flown to a local hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.

A police dog was used to search for the suspect, who was not located, the police said.
