Police: McDonald's Shooting Suspect Identified

Authorities also seeking a woman who was with the suspect at the time of the shooting, according to Prince William County Police.

Investigators have identified the suspect in a shooting Monday evening in the parking lot of a Dale Boulevard McDonald’s. They’ve also identified a second suspect who was with the suspect at the time of the shooting.

DeWayne Williams, the alleged shooter, is wanted for aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Jamie Bowyer is also wanted on the same charges.

“Neither suspect has been apprehended and their whereabouts are currently unknown,” police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok stated in a release late Monday.

Officers responded to the McDonald’s at 2891 Dale Boulevard to investigate the shooting. The victim, 23, was shot in the face following an altercation in the parking lot, according to police spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok.

The victim sustained a superficial, non-life-threatening injury and was transported to an area hospital for treatment, according to Perok.

A search began for the suspect’s vehicle, which was located by an officer on Neabsco Mills Road. After he was spotted by police, the suspect pulled into the Freedom High School parking lot and fled on foot, according to police.

After reaching the area of Jefferson Davis Highway and Neabsco Mills Road, the suspect reportedly carjacked a second victim. The person contacted police once the suspect got out of the car, in the area of Jefferson Davis Highway and Delaward Drive. The second victim was not injured.

In the overnight hours, officers did a door-to-door search of the area of Route 1 and Delaware Drive, but did not locate the suspect.
