Police: Officer Assaulted During Traffic Stop
Suspect faces several charges, including assaulting an officer and 4th DUI in 10 years, according to Prince William County Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man is in custody after allegedly assaulting an officer during a traffic stop Tuesday night, according to Prince William County Police.
Mustafa Abu Baker, 46, of 12684 Dulcinea Pl in Woodbridge, is charged with assault & battery on a LEO, driving under the influence: 4th in 10 years, unreasonable refusal: 3rd or subsequent offense, resisting arrest, and additional traffic related charges.
At 7:24 p.m. Tuesday, an officer was initiating a traffic stop in the area of Jefferson Davis Highway and Bel Air Road due to traffic violation.

As the officer began to approach the vehicle, Baker allegedly got out and assaulted the officer, according to police.
As he was being placed under arrest, Baker allegedly resisted and continued to strike the officer.

He was quickly detained without further incident. Minor injuries were reported.
Following the investigation, police claim they determined Baker was intoxicated.
He is being held without bond.
