Police Search For Potomac Mills Mall Homicide Suspect

Authorities have released the names of a Potomac Mills Mall security guard killed and the homicide suspect sought in the Woodbridge case.

WOODBRIDGE, MD — The search for a man facing murder charges in the death of a Burlington Coat Factory store security guard continued on Sunday. Authorities say the suspect, Jamel Carlos Kingsbury, 35, of no fixed address, was identified by officers through an unrelated domestic related call Saturday morning.

Detectives have obtained a warrant for Kingsbury's arrest, but he has not been apprehended. The suspect was stopped by two security guards for allegedly shoplifting at the store at Potomac Mills Mall, 2700 Potomac Mills Circle in Woodbridge. Investigators say Kingsbury was confronted by two loss prevention workers as he left the store, a struggle ensued and one of the guards — Larry Donnell Drumgole, 44, of Rappahannock — was stabbed.

Kingsbury then fled on foot. Police conducted an extensive search of the area and were unable to locate the suspect.
