Police: Shooting Victim Was Chasing Robbery Suspects
Victim expected to make full recovery, says Prince William County Police. Initial robbery was not a random incident, according to police.

A man shot in the leg early Tuesday was attempting to stop two robbery suspects, according to Prince William County Police. He is expected to make a full recovery.
The incident caused a lockdown at area schools as police searched the area with K9 units and a helicopter.
Officers responded at 10:46 a.m. to the 14300 block of Wrangler Lane, near Minnieville Road, according to Sgt. Jonathan Perok, a police spokesperson.

“The investigation revealed that a victim, a 25-year-old man of Woodbridge, was returning to his apartment when he encountered two men,” Perok said in a statement.
The men forced the victim into his apartment, where they physically assaulted him, with one of the suspects also pulling out a handgun.

The unknown suspects fled the apartment building on foot. They were spotted by a second victims, 34, of South Carolina, who chased the suspects across the parking lot.
He was shot in the leg by one of the men as they fled, according to Perok.
The first victim was treated at the scene. The shooting victim was transported to an area hospital.
The investigation continues, according to police.
