Police: Suspect Flashes Woman and Teen in Dumfries Area

He's still at large following two incidents last week, say Prince William County police.

The Prince William County police are looking for a young man who exposed himself last week to a woman and a 14-year-old girl in the Dumfries area.

No physical contact was reported in the two incidents and the suspect never pursued the victims, the police said. The suspect is described as a Hispanic or Middle Eastern male, between 16 and 20 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds with a medium build, medium complexion and short black hair.

In the first incident, police officers responded at 4 p.m. Wednesday to investigate an indecent exposure reported to have occurred at 1 p.m. in the area of Powells Creek Boulevard and Miranda Lane, according to a police report. The victim, a 14-year-old female juvenile from Woodbridge, told police that she was walking in thst area when she observed an unknown man, possibly in his late teens or early 20s, standing next to a bike near a wooded area.

When the victim looked towards the man, he exposed himself and made an obscene gesture at her, the police report said. The victim immediately went home and notified her parents of the encounter.

A similar incident was reported on Friday in the same area, police said. Officers responded at 7:03 p.m. to investigate an indecent exposure reported in the area of Blue Pool Drive and Paper Mill Lane.

In that incident, the victim, a 44-year-old Dumfries woman, told police that she was jogging along a path when an unknown man on a bike approached from the opposite direction. As the man got closer, he stood up on the bike and exposed himself towards the victim.

In Friday’s incident, the suspect was last seen wearing an olive green T-shirt, black and white basketball-style shorts and dark-rimmed glasses, police said. In Wednesday’s incident, the suspect was last seen wearing a white shirt and cargo shorts.
