Police: Woman Leaves 7-Year-Old On Side of the Road
Felony child neglect charges in Monday night incident, according to Prince William County Police.

A woman is accused of leaving a 7-year-old girl at the scene of a hit and run Monday night, according to Prince William County Police.
Dionyshia Whitsuner Williams, 50, of the 2000 block of Mayflower Dr in Woodbridge is charged with felony child neglect. She is being held without bond.
Near 7 p.m. Monday night, officers responded to the area of Clipper Drive and Mariner Lane to investigate a hit and run.

The 7-year-old girl told police that Williams was driving in the above area when she struck an unknown object. When the victim got out of the vehicle, Williams allegedly drove away. The girl was not injured.
The victim was able to run home where she made contact with a neighbor who contacted police, according to police.

A short time later, an officer located Williams walking down a sidewalk. The officer determined she was intoxicated and subsequently arrested her without incident, according to police.
