Police: Woodbridge Man Shot in Parking Lot of Alexandria Restaurant

He was taken to hospital in critical condition, say Fairfax County police.

Fairfax County police detectives are investigating the shooting of a Woodbridge man last night in the parking lot of Fast Eddie’s restaurant, on Route 1 in the Alexandria area of the county.

The incident at Fast Eddie’s, at 6220 Richmond Highway, took place in the early morning hours, at around 1:50 a.m. Friday, according to police.

Police responded to a report of an altercation involving around 50 people in the parking lot as the restaurant was closing, police said. When they got there, police discovered that a man had been shot; he was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital in critical condition, Fairfax County police said.

The man is 37 years old and from Woodbridge, according to police. He has since been upgraded to non-life-threatening condition, but remains in the hospital. No arrests have been made and the police investigation is ongoing.
