Police: Woodbridge Man Who Shot Woman Is At Large

He's been charged with attempted malicious wounding and faces other charges, say Prince William police.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. -- The Prince William County police are looking for a local man who is accused of shooting a woman in the arm Thursday during an argument, and then fleeing the scene in a car.

Kevin Brown, 31, of the 12200 block of Aztec Place in Woodbridge, is wanted for one count of attempted malicious wounding, one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and two counts of the use of a firearm in commission of a felony, according to a police report.

He's described by police as a black man, 6 feet tall, and weighing 147 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

At 4:49 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to a residence in the 12200 block of Aztec Place in Woodbridge to investigate a domestic disturbance with weapons, the report said.

The victim, a 30-year-old Woodbridge woman, told police that she and Brown, a family member, were involved in an argument outside their residence that escalated, the police said. Brown retrieved a handgun from the residence, then fired toward the woman, grazing her on the arm.

Brown then fired several shots into the air and fled the area in a red sedan, the police said. Minor injuries were reported.
