Police: Young Man Killed, Teen Injured in Double Shooting

A young man was killed just after midnight Sunday morning in Dale City, according to Prince William County Police. A teenager, 15, was injured in the shooting.

Christopher Nathaniel Weaver, 19, of Woodbridge, died from his wounds at an area hospital. The teen, whose name was not released, is expected to recover.

Police responded to a shooting call at 12:09 a.m. Sunday to the 13400 block of Keating Drive.

Officers located the two victims suffering from gunshot wounds outside of a home. Detectives say this is not a random incident.

This is Prince William County’s sixth homicide in 2014.

Last week, a 16-year-old student at Woodbridge High School was killed in a shooting just off of the school grounds. Four have been arrested in that case and the motive is believed to have been drug related.
