Pooch Plunge Returns to Veterans Park in Woodbridge

It's Sept. 11 from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. Dog owners must provide written evidence of current rabies vaccination.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — For a couple of hours on Sept. 11, the swimming pool at Veterans Memorial Park literally will go to the dogs.

It's the Veterans Park Annual Pooch Plunge, from 1 p.m.-3 p.m.

Admission for participating pet owners is $6 and a bag of dog food.

However, owners must provide written proof from a veterinarian showing their dogs' current rabies vaccination. Dog tags will not be sufficient proof.

Presumably, the pool will be sanitized afterward.
