Pregnant 16-Year-Old Nearly Stabbed In Belly In Woodbridge: Cops

A man was arrested Wednesday after trying to stab a pregnant 16-year-old in the belly with a screwdriver: Prince William County Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA—A man was arrested early Wednesday after trying to stab a pregnant 16-year-old in the belly with a screwdriver, according to Prince William County Police. Jamar Wendell Jackson, 18, of the 4100 block of Illinois Avenue in Washington, DC, was charged with strangulation, attempted malicious wounding, domestic assault and battery and possession of marijuana.

Shortly after midnight, police responded to the scene for a reported domestic assault. They found that Jackson and the girl got into an argument that escalated. He grabbed her by the throat and shoved her onto a bed.

She broke free but they continued to argue. That's when he grabbed a screwdriver and tried to stab her in the stomach. She got away and contacted police. Minor injuries were reported. While searching Jackson, police found marijuana.
