Prince William Art Society Meeting

The Prince William Art Society meets at 7:30pm at Tall Oaks Community Center, 12298 Cotton Mill Dr. Woodbridge 22192. On the forth Monday.

In September our guest speaker will be Richard B. Tyler.  Richard received a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the institute of Washington.  His work has been based on fantasy and science fiction.   Richard creates watercolor and acrylic illustrations as well as computer generated illustrations (CGI) done in Adobe Photoshop.

Mixing beauty, fantasy, and science fiction to create endless universes, Richard’s worlds are complex.  This results in the large amount of detail he puts into his illustrations.  Human characters may be normal but other characters, creatures, and everything else around them are “beyond reality, merging cyberpunk, medieval, Japanese and renaissance styles” to create a brand new world.

Richard has self published two art books.  Each collections of his fantasy and science fiction illustrations.  He hopes the example of his own perseverance will inspire other artists not to give up.
