Prince William County Coronavirus Update: 113 New Cases
There are 113 new cases of the coronavirus in Prince William County as of Friday, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 5,270.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA – There are 113 new cases of the coronavirus in Prince William County as of Friday, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 5,270.
No additional deaths were reported Friday by the Virginia Department of Health. The total death count remains at 101. There are currently 447 hospitalized patients.
To date, the Prince William Health District has had 15 coronavirus outbreaks. There are 160 coronavirus cases associated with an outbreak, and 289 confirmed cases in healthcare workers.

As of Friday, Virginia now has 42,533 total confirmed cases of the coronavirus, 1,129 more cases in the past 24 hours. There are 4,529 hospitalized patients and 1,358 deaths.

SCHOOLS
All schools in Virginia are closed through the rest of the academic year for in-person teaching in response to the coronavirus outbreak.
In-person high school graduations for Prince William County Public schools have been scheduled for August, school officials have announced. High schools principals have recommended graduation ceremony dates of Aug. 4, 5, 6 and 7. Specific dates and time will be decided in the next few weeks, school officials said. MORE
