Prince William County School Calendar For 2026-2027: Key Dates To Know
As the summer wraps up, here are the dates Prince William County students and parents should know for the new school year.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA – August has just begun, but the new school year is right around the corner. For Prince William County Public Schools, classes will begin on August 24. (Don’t worry, kids: the last day of school is June 17.)

| August 17-21 | Teacher workdays and professional development (no school for students) |
| August 24 | First day of school |
| Sept. 4 | Labor Day weekend holiday (schools and offices closed to the public) |
| Sept. 7 | Labor Day holiday (schools and offices closed) |
| Sept. 21 | Holiday (schools and offices closed in observance of Yom Kippur) |
