Fountain’s arrest is separate from Operation Growing Pains, an effort by a regional police task force to apprehend narcotics dealers in Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park. The four-month effort led to the arrest of 19 people, with seven still at large, the Prince William County police announced Friday.
Fountain has been charged with possession with intent to distribute a schedule I or II narcotic, possession of a schedule I or II narcotic and possession of marijuana, according to the Prince William County police. He was held in jail on a $5,000 bond, and his next date in court is July 17.
Fountain was arrested after Prince William police detectives stopped a vehicle in the 3000 block of Golansky Boulevard in Woodbridge at 12:15 a.m. Friday, according to a police report. Fountain was an occupant of the car, and “was found to be in possession of marijuana and suspected cocaine,” police said.
In a second search at the Garfield District Station, police found on Fountain “an additional substance believed to be cocaine,” the police report said.
