WOODBRIDGE, VA — A religious tutor from Woodbridge has been arrested after police said he exposed himself and assaulted a student on different occasions. The tutor, Adam Ahmad Countee, was arrested on March 1 following an investigation by the Special Victims Unit in conjunction with Child Protective Services, according to authorities.

Initially, Prince William County Police investigated an indecent exposure that took place during a virtual tutoring session, police said. Victims reported that on Feb. 24, the man exposed himself to two children, a 10-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy.

Detectives determined the tutor physically abused the boy in the past, police said in a news release. The abuse occurred in November 2020 during a tutoring session in the boy's home, according to police.

During the session, Countee forced the boy to remove his clothing, police said. The boy was then bound to the chair using zip ties. Countee then struck the boy repeatedly with a cane as a form of punishment, according to police reports.

After the investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Countee. They also executed a search warrant on his home.
