John Lennon would be proud. It wasn't 1968 but Virginia's very own rock "Revolution" shred the stage last night like they didn't know any better.
Free to the public, the Sean T. Connaughton Plaza hosted the Prince William County Summer Concert Series Saturday night, and presented a night of classic, high energy rock and roll, country and an array of feel-good dance tunes. Just behind of the James J. McCoart Administration Building, attendees unfolded their lawn chairs and enjoyed a delightful evening.
Lead vocalist John Rehanek cooed the audience with his soul driven voice, complemented by the proverbial scream of guitarist Jerry Senseney's amplifier.

Revolution, referred to as one of the hottest acts in the Mid-Atlantic, blasted cover tunes ranging from The Eagles' "Life in the Fast Lane" to Kool and the Gang's "Jungle Boogie."
Formed in January 2007, Revolution takes pride in being a variety band, which they believe is "the spice of life," according to their official website. Saturday night was no exception.

The five-piece band advertised their ability to fuse various musical genres and their diversity was well matched to that of the audience.
"It was something that everyone could enjoy," attendee Krystal Laviena said. "Revolution really was able to mix up the genres and put together a playlist that people recognized."
Complemented by the soothing tunes of Revolution, the dim lighting and contemporary architecture of the Sean T. Connaughton plaza set a fitting atmosphere. A possibility of consistent musical performances in the future was recognized by attendee and active musician Josh Swank.
"The Connaughton Plaza is quite the potential outdoors venue," Swank said. "Revolution really utilized the stage and showed us that this place could be a regular venue here on out. I would love to see local acts take advantage of a stage that mainstream acts may be interested in."
Although summer is coming to a close, Revolution played on into the night.
"The weather is unbelievable and Revolution's music is inspiring," Swank said. "We all want to change the world."
Lennon would surely agree.
