Ribbon Cutting Planned For Woodbridge’s John Jenkins Elementary
The ribbon cutting at the Woodbridge elementary school is Aug. 28 and also includes a dedication of the Ernestine Jenkins Story Room.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — Prince William County Schools will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony Aug. 28 to celebrate the opening of the division’s newest elementary school. The ceremony at John Jenkins Elementary School is planned at 6 p.m.
John Jenkins Elementary, 4060 Prince William Pkwy., is named after former Prince William County Supervisor John Jenkins, who died in February. Previously referred to as Prince William Parkway Elementary School, the facility will address school overcrowding in the county.
Attending the ceremony will be division leadership, elected and appointed federal and state officials, school board members and county supervisors. The public is invited to attend. The ceremony also includes a dedication of the Ernestine Jenkins Story Room and a performance by the fourth- and fifth-grade chorus.
