Richest People In VA, State's Top Businesses: 2023 Highlights

VIRGINIA — Jacqueline Mars is still the richest person in Virginia, worth an estimated $38.9 billion, according to Forbes, whose list of the 400 Richest Billionaires is one of several business rankings prominently mentioning our state in 2023.

Mars, who owns one-third of the candy company behind M&Ms and Snickers, ranked 19th in the country in the list. And she wasn’t the only Virginia titan rich enough to make the list.
