Road Rage Incident Leads To Brandishing Charge For Woodbridge Man
A 27-year-old Woodbridge man has been charged with brandishing after he pulled out a firearm during an argument, police said.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Richard Ronniel Valois, 27, of Woodbridge, was arrested and charged with brandishing a weapon after aroad rage incident April 10, authorities said.
According to Prince William County police, officers were called to Centreville Road and Maplewood Drive on the evening of April 10, where two drivers were involved in an altercation. Police say Valois brandished a firearm at the other driver during the exchange.
No shots were fired and no injuries were reported, but Valois was arrested and charged with brandishing.

The maximum penalty for misdemeanor brandishing in Virginia is 1 year in jail and a $2,500 fine. The charge can be elevated to a felony under some circumstances, including occurring on or near a school.
