Santa Claus Is Coming To Potomac Mills

Santa Claus is coming to Potomac Mills beginning on Friday, kicking off the mall's planned festivities for the holiday season.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Santa Claus is coming to town. The Potomac Mills mall in Woodbridge will host an arrival party for Santa Claus at 10:30 a.m. on Friday to celebrate the start of the holiday season.

This year, the mall has several festivities planned throughout the remainder of the year including a Salvation Army Angel Tree, a booth where visitors can write letters to active members of the military, and a donation station for Wreaths Across America.

Friday marks the first day that Santa Claus will be available for photos at the mall. Reservations are not required, but they are recommended. Santa's photo station will be available through Dec. 24.

Next to the Santa station, the mall will host a "Letters to our Military Heroes" booth. The letter writing booth will allow visitors to send a message to an active duty servicemember who may not be able to spend the holidays with their own family.

On Dec. 4, the mall will host a Caring Santa event catering to children with special needs. The more private experience includes a sensory-friendly environment. Reservations are required for the private event.

The Potomac Mills Saks store will host a Salvation Army Angel Tree. Donors will have the opportunity to buy an item for a person in need.

Throughout November, the mall will host a donation booth for Wreaths Across America. Each year, Wreaths Across America lays hundreds of wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery for the holiday season.
