School Office Employee Accused of Inappropriate Relationship

Prince William County Police claims the 26-year-old woman was sexually involved with 16-year-old student.

A Prince William County School System employee is accused of an inappropriate relationship with a student, according to county police.

Debra Elizabeth Crawford, 26, of 5691 Rowser Dr. in Woodbridge, is charged with indecent liberties and use of a communications device to facilitate certain offenses.

Notified of the relationship on Wednesday, authorities now believe it began with inappropriate messages sent last month, according to a Prince William County Police release.

The victim, 16, is a student at Freedom High School. Police did not state what position Crawford held at Prince William County Schools.

Crawford has been employed as an office assistant at Freedom High School since 2014, according to a Prince William County Schools spokesperson. She has been placed on administrative leave.
