Sexual Assault Of A Child Leads To Arrest In Woodbridge: Police

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man from Woodbridge has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a child multiple times. Authorities identified the man as David Galdamez Martinez, according to a report from the Prince William County Police Department.

Last week, the county's Special Victims Unit and Child Protective Services ended an investigation into sexual assaults that happened at a Woodbridge home between May 2017 and May 2018.

Authorities said a girl, who was 9 or 10 years old at the time, was sexually assaulted several times. The girl recently told a family member about the assaults, and an investigation began.

After the investigation, authorities arrested Galdamez Martinez. He is charged with aggravated sexual battery and object sexual battery.

He is being held without bond, and his court date is pending. If he is found guilty of the charges, Galdamez Martinez could face up to life in prison.
