Shooting In Large Crowd Leaves 1 Man Dead In Woodbridge: Police
A man died from gunshot wounds in Woodbridge Sunday morning after a large group of people had gathered on Westwind Drive, police said.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man died from gunshot wounds in Woodbridge Sunday morning after a large group of people had gathered on Westwind Drive, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
Around 6:10 a.m. Sunday, police officers went to the 4000 block of Westwind Drive to investigate a report of shots fired. Residents in the area told police that a large group of people were gathered in the area when gunshots were fired. The large crowd had left the area before police arrived.
While investigating, police officers learned of an adult male who was brought to an area hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. The man, Michael Adom, 18, of Woodbridge died later as a result of his injuries.

Detectives with the Prince William County Police Department's Violent Crimes Bureau are investigating the incident to determine what led up to the shooting and are seeking to speak with anyone who was present during the altercation who can provide more details as to what occurred.
