Stonebridge Shooting Victim Walked Into Hospital On New Year's Day: Police
Another shooting was reported in Stonebridge on New Year's Day, and a 35-year-old victim walked into the hospital with a gunshot wound.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A 35-year-old man was shot in Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center on Saturday, according to a report from the Prince William County Police Department. Police were notified after the man walked into the hospital with a gunshot wound.
The victim's injuries were not considered life-threatening. Officers then responded to the 15200 block of Potomac Town Place around 10 p.m. to investigate the shooting, which occurred earlier in the evening.
In their report, the police department said that the victim did not fully cooperate with investigators. Authorities have been unable to determine what events led to the shooting, or who was involved in the incident.

Saturday's shooting was the second at Stonebridge in less than a month. On Saturday, Dec. 4, a man was injured in a drive-by shooting at the shopping center. He was able to drive himself to the hospital where he was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Saturday's shooting at Stonebridge was one of several incidents of shots fired around Woodbridge at the start of the new year. Around 3 p.m. on New Year's Day, officers received a report of gunshots near Jefferson Davis Highway and Vintage Drive.
There, a group of people were standing on the sidewalk when a gray sedan with tinted windows approached. Police said multiple shots were then fired from the car. Everyone in the area fled, and no injuries were reported.
Another shooting was reported in Forestdale Avenue in Dale City on New Year's Day. A homeowner told police that they heard an unusual noise around 6 p.m. When they investigated, the homeowner found a bullet near their carport, according to the police report.
Other residents in the area also reported hearing gunshots. No injuries or property damage was reported in the incident, and no suspect description was available.
