Shooting Suspect Sought In Woodbridge

Authorities are looking for a man who fired a gun into a home Monday after being confronted by the resident in Woodbridge: PWC Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Authorities are looking for a masked man who fired gun into a home from the backyard early Monday after being confronted by the resident in the 12700 block of Dulcinea Place, according to Prince William County Police. After an investigation, the man was identified as Terrence Christopher McCoy, 38, of the 2900 block of Wythe Court in Woodbridge.

He's described as black, 5-9, 200 pounds with a heavy build, black hair and brown eyes. He's wanted for attempted aggravated malicious wounding, maliciously shooting into an occupied dwelling, destruction of property, wearing a mask in public, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Shortly before 12:30 a.m., police responded to the scene for a reported shooting. The victim, a 50-year-old man of Woodbridge, said he was in the basement when he heard a noise in the backyard. He looked outside and saw a man wearing a mask, who then flashed a gun a fired it into the home. The suspect fled and the bullet was found lodged into an interior wall. Police say the incident doesn't appear to be random.
