Gunshot Fired During An Argument Outside Woodbridge High School Basketball Game: Police
An argument broke out outside a Woodbridge High School basketball game on Wednesday. Police said someone fired a gun during the dispute.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — An argument broke out in the parking lot of Woodbridge High School on Wednesday night. Police believe that someone fired a gunshot during the dispute.
Officers with the Prince William County Police Department said they were at the basketball game at Woodbridge High School when they learned about a possible fight. Officers entered the parking lot around 8 p.m., according to the police report.
The officers said they saw two groups of teenagers arguing, but no one was fighting. The officers urged the groups to disperse, and some of the teens entered a black Chrysler 300, police said.

The car left the parking lot and turned onto Old Bridge Road. Officers said they heard a single gunshot as the car turned. At the same time, two other teens ran towards the woods near the school.
Officers detained the two teens, according to the police report. The teens were not cooperative, authorities said.

The police officers searched the area, but they did not find a firearm. The officers believed that a suspect fired the gunshot from the Chrysler. Authorities did not find any cartridge casings in the area.
The police department did not report any injuries from the shooting.
