Shots Fired In Stairwell Of Woodbridge Apartment Complex: Police

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Prince William County police responded to a report of gunshots on Nov. 25 in the Rivergate Apartments on Marina Way in Woodbridge.

Around 6:10 p.m. last Wednesday, apartment residents reported to police that gunshots were heard in the area. Video surveillance footage revealed that a Black man wearing all dark-colored clothing entered a stairwell area before three masked men, who were also wearing all black, entered the stairwell.

After a short time, the three masked men were seen fleeing on foot with one suspect carrying a firearm. No injuries were reported.

Police officers collected a shell casing that was found inside the stairwell. While investigating the shooting, officers also located damage to the apartment building and to an unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot.
