SHREK THE MUSICAL OPENS AT THE HYLTON PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
Musical Theatre, Theatre, Shrek the Musical, Shrek, Pied Piper Theatre, Center for the Arts

An extravaganza of all your favorite fairy tale characters comes to life in the upcoming production of SHREK THE MUSICAL, presented by the Center for the Arts’ Pied Piper Theatre in April. An ogre named Shrek becomes an “unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue.” Throw in the evil Lord Farquaad, a fire breathing dragon, and numerous fairy tale characters who have been evicted from the kingdom and the adventures begin.
This talented all-star cast of 49 young actors and a live orchestra, supply plenty of tears, laughter, and applause as they bring it all to the stage. Anchored with Pied Piper veterans Sarah Jane Scott as Fiona and Tyler Parowski as Shrek, along with the comedic talent of Tyler Williams in the role of Donkey, these actors shine in their roles as the heroes. Dynamic dance numbers, stunning costumes, and pure magic bring together a heartwarming, heart wrenching, and absolutely hysterical masterpiece of comedy for the entire family. This is a full-scale musical spectacular not to be missed.
