Single-Car Crash Kills 24-Year-Old Driver In Woodbridge: Police
A 24-year-old man from Woodbridge died on Monday night in a single-vehicle crash on Horner Road, the police department said.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — A driver died in a single-car crash on Horner Road in Woodbridge on Monday night, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
Police identified the driver as 24-year-old Denard Everett Bankston II. He died at the scene of the crash.
Investigators said the crash occurred around 9:45 p.m. on Monday night. Bankston was driving a 2021 Hyundai Sonata eastbound on Horner Road before the crash, according to the police report.

As Bankston neared Millwood Drive, he lost control of the car as it neared a sharp curve, police said. The car crossed the double yellow line, left the road, hit a ditch, and flipped over multiple times.
Rescue personnel pronounced Bankston dead at the crash site. Investigators believe that speed may have been a factor in the crash.
