Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) dig out impaired Vets and Postal Worker

As Northern Virginia continues to dig out in the aftermath of Winter Storm Fern, members of the Colonel William Grayson Chapter were out in force helping neighbors dig out from the snow and ice.

Chapter Quartermaster Jack Mills (pictured), a Junior at Saint John Paul the Great High School in Dumfries, helped by digging out Veterans so they could get food, medicine, and get to doctor's appointments. While digging out one house, Mills aided in the rescue of a US Postal worker who was stuck in the snow. The spirit of Valley Forge lives on in this young patriot!

The Colonel William Grayson Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) is a civic organization serving Prince William County and western Fairfax County. The SAR serves and honors, veterans, first responders, Scouting America, Junior ROTC, and other patriotic, civic, and historical groups and organizations. Membership in the Sons of the American Revolution is open to the lineal descendant of a Revolutionary War soldier, sailor or Patriot. This includes persons who not only fought in the military or militia, but who also may have provided supplies, medical aid, signed oaths of Faith and Fidelity and similar acts.
