Sponsor Briana's 2016-2017 Cheer Season

Like most parents, finding something positive and rewarding to enroll your child in is always the first thing in mind when looking for extracurricular activities. Briana started at the age of 3, taking swim classes within the county of Fairfax, ballet at Tiny Dancers and private tumbling lessons with Coach Brenda Holloway of Hot Topic All Stars. Once we figured out what her passion was, she decided that she wanted to join Hot Topic’s Starchasers (Tiny Level 1).

From the first day of tumbling, Coach Brenda saw potential in her. She was flexible, and picked up the skills quickly. She joined the Starchasers in the middle of the season, just one month before the first competition of the season. They went on to win 1st place. During that season, we enrolled Briana in additional tumble lessons, as well as any additional camps that the organization would hold. During the Spring Break camp she mastered the skill of a back handspring, which prepared her for the upcoming season, in which she was on Mini Level 2: StarDiva’s. During the second season she made it to the pilot team, Youth Level 2: Starstruck, which in return placed her on the team this past season.

As the new season approaches, Briana has been working diligently to master Level 3 skills; round off, back-handspring, tuck, standing tuck, back hand extension, etc. Team placements will not be announced until July 15th, which she is looking forward to.

Briana has competed locally and nationally; traveling to many different states and cities including, Atlanta, Georgia; Columbus, Ohio; Atlantic City, New Jersey; Virginia Beach, Virginia; and many more.

The cost to train, travel and compete; as well as the uniforms and practice clothes that each cheerleader uses is satisfied through tuition payments submitted by the parents and collective fundraising opportunities offered by the organization. These fees typically range from $3500 - $5000 dependent upon the location of the selected competitive events. My family has committed a significant part of our household budget for this endeavor but we are still in need of assistance. I am reaching out to my community, friends and family for support of our goal to provide this opportunity for my child. I truly believe this opportunity will be instrumental in her growth and development and will provide her with lifelong skills and relationships that will fuel her future success.

There are many different levels of support and any amount is appreciated. Please be aware that Hot Topic All Stars is a non-profit organization and sponsors may write-off their sponsorship as a charitable expense.
