STAGE MANAGEMENT 101 at THE CENTER FOR THE ARTS AT THE CANDY FACTORY

Always wanted to be the one running the show? Here’s your opportunity to see what it takes to be the Stage Manager. Learn the skills necessary for organizing and coordinating a theatrical production during the audition process, rehearsals, and final performances. This course covers creating a prompt book, coordinating communications between production personnel, actors and technical staff, producing rehearsal reports, running “Tech Week”, organizing cue sheets and calling cues, and much more. Students should have some basic knowledge of the technical aspects of a production. “Must Haves” for the class: a notebook and pencils/pens.
