Student Bullied, Attacked at Local School: Media Report

Seventh grader left in neck brace after assault last week.

A student at Lake Ridge Middle School is recovering from an assault last week by three of her classmates, and her mother is keeping her home from school, a Washington TV station reported.

The seventh-grader is wearing a neck brace and receiving school assignments at home, according to WRC-NBC Channel 4. She was attacked last Wednesday, a block away from the school, after weeks of bullying in class and on social media, her mom told Channel 4.

The spokesman for the Prince William County Public Schools told Channel 4 that he’s barred from discussing individual students.

School officials said that conferences are planned this week with all of the parents involved.
