Summer-Long Search Finally Yields Arrest in Woodbridge: Police
Prince William County Police had been looking for the convicted felon since early June on gun charges.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A convicted felon on the lam for three months finally was arrested Wednesday but not before jumping off his bicycle and running away in a futile attempt to escape, according to Prince William County Police.
Andre Jon Richardson, 28, of the 15000 block of Sunny Ridge Court, was charged with reckless handling of a firearm, brandishing a fireman, grand larceny, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, carrying a concealed weapon, obstruction of justice and resisting arrest.
Shortly before 2 p.m. on June 5, police responded to a report of a domestic dispute in the 13500 block of Adrian Court in Woodbridge. The female victim, 27, told police she and the suspect, an acquaintance, became involved in a heated argument during which a family member of the woman attempted to intervene.

At some point, say police, Richardson grabbed the woman's handgun from a vehicle and pointed it toward the family member, a 19-year-old Woodbridge man. He then fired one shot into the air and fled on foot, after which police obtained a warrant for his arrest.
And that's where things stood all summer until about 5 p.m Wednesday. Police spotted Richardson riding a bicycle in the area of Featherstone Road and Colchester Road and, after a short chase, finally got their man.
