Suspect In Custody After Assault, Strangulation In Woodbridge
Police arrested a man in Woodbridge on Monday and charged him with strangulation, domestic assault, and obstruction of justice.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man is in custody after police say he strangled and struck a 20-year-old woman. The man, Enyel Eduardo Carcamo-Molina, was arrested on Monday, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
On Monday morning, the police were called to a home on the 1800 block of Tiger Lily Circle in Woodbridge, according to police reports. There, a 20-year-old woman reported to police that she was assaulted during an argument.
The woman said that during the argument, a man threw her on the ground and grabbed her throat. When she tried to escape, the man hit her in the head and she lost consciousness, according to authorities.

When she regained consciousness, the woman was able to flee the residence and contact the police. She reported minor injuries, according to police reports. Authorities did not state whether she was taken to a hospital for treatment. She identified the man who assaulted her as Carcamo-Molina.
When Prince William County officers went to arrest Carcamo-Molina, he resisted arrest, police said. He was eventually taken into custody after a struggle.
