Suspect In Woodbridge Double Murder Arrested In Fauquier County

Police charged Abner Jose Molina-Rodriguez, 22, with two counts of murder in the June 22 killing of two men in Woodbridge.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Police charged Abner Jose Molina-Rodriguez, 22, with two counts of murder in the June 22 killing of two men in the Featherstone area of Woodbridge. Prince William County police arrested Molina-Rodriguez without incident Nov. 22 in Fauquier County with assistance from deputies with the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office and investigators with the FBI.

Molina-Rodriguez, who lives in the town of Catlett in Fauquier County, allegedly met up on June 22 with one of the victims, Milton Beltran Lopez, in a wooded area in the 1500 block of Featherstone Road in Woodbridge. Lopez, 40, was joined by Jairo Geremeas Mayorga, 39, and an altercation ensued. During the altercation, Molina-Rodriquez allegedly fatally shot both Lopez and Mayorga.

Along with two counts of murder, Molina-Rodriguez is facing two counts of the use of a firearm in commission of a felony. He is being held without bond, with a scheduled court date of Jan. 27.

On June 22 at 10:25 a.m., Prince William County police officers responded to the area of Featherstone Road and Blackburn Road in Woodbridge to investigate the deaths of Lopez and Mayorga. A resident contacted police after discovering their bodies in a wooded area behind the 7-Market on Featherstone Road.

Both Lopez and Mayorga lived in Woodbridge.
