Suspects Sought For Machete Attack In Woodbridge: Police

Authorities are looking for two men who attacked a man with machetes Saturday night in Woodbridgte: Prince William County Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA—Authorities are looking for two men who attacked a man with machetes Saturday night in the 1400 block of Bayside Avenue, according to Prince William County Police. They both had shirts covering their faces during the attack.

One suspect is described as a light-skinned Hispanic of an unknown age, 5-6 and last seen wearing a black shirt covering his face, a black hat, a black t-shirt and dark pants. The other is described as a light-skinned Hispanic of an unknown age, 5-8, with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a white shirt covering his face, a white t-shirt, dark pants and black shoes.

Around 7:30 p.m., police arrived at the scene for a reported stabbing. The 38-year-old victim said he was walking in the area when two unknown men approached him, flashed machetes and demanded money. He initially refused but then was stabbed in the back.

Then the suspects rummaged through his pockets, took an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot. He was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that weren't life threatening. Police unsuccessfully searched for the suspects with a K-9 unit. Anyone with information is urged to call police at 703-792-6500.
