Suspicious Van Reported Near Woodbridge School Bus Stop: Police

Prince William police received multiple reports this week of a tan van with tinted windows slowly driving near the area of the bus stop.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Prince William County police said they received multiple reports this week of a suspicious van lurking near a Woodbridge school bus stop. According to a police report, the occurrences were reported by a school resource officer at Rippon Middle School after the officer received multiple complaints from female students.

According to police, the students reported seeing a tan van with dark tinted windows driving slowly near the school bus stop at Broker Lane and Bronco Way. When the suspect drove by, police said he would slow down and make inappropriate comments to girls waiting at the bus stop.

The man was seen in the van between 7:30 and 7:50 a.m. on multiple mornings during the last week, police said. Each time, he left the area without stopping. At no point were the students threatened and no physical contact was made, police said.

UPDATE: Suspicious Van Reported Near Bus Stop Deemed A 'Misunderstanding'

Police continue to investigate the reports. The suspect is described as an older light-skinned black man. He was bald, wearing glasses and had a thin-trimmed mustache.
