Swastika Found On Prince William Academy Sign In Woodbridge

Authorities are looking for whoever spray painted a swastika on a sign leading to Prince William Academy in Woodbridge last weekend.

WOODBRIDGE, VA —Authorities are looking for whoever spray painted a swastika on a sign leading to Prince William Academy, 13817 Spriggs Road, last weekend, according to Prince William County Police. A witness reported seeing what possibly was a group of juveniles in the area Friday night.

Around 6 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the school for a vandalism report. They found that sometime in a 24-hour span beginning 6 p.m. Friday, someone not only drew a swastika on a sign facing the road but also vandalized the neighborhood. Two stop signs, a fire hydrant, a mailbox and a vehicle were spray painted with graffiti.

Police say some of the graffiti appeared random and illegible. Anyone with information is urged to call police at 703-792-6500. (For more local news, click here to sign up for real-time news alerts. Also, like us on Facebook, and if you have an iPhone, click here to get the free Patch iPhone app.)
