Swastikas, Anti-Semitic Language Found At Woodbridge Skate Park

Swasika symbols and anti-Semitic language were drawn on several ramps at the Birchdale Community Center Skate Park in Woodbridge.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — The Prince William County police are investigating swasika symbols and anti-Semitic language that were drawn on several ramps at the Birchdale Community Center Skate Park in Woodbridge. A Prince William County park ranger reported to police that the vandalism occurred sometime between midnight on Feb. 1 and 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

Park officials will be able to remove the drawings without causing permanent damage to the skate park's ramps, the police said. While the drawings and language did not contain any direct threats, the police are investigating the vandalism as a possible hate crime, according to the Prince William County Police Department's Friday incident report.

The Birchdale Community Center Skate Park is at 14730 Birchdale Ave. Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to contact the Prince William County Police Department tipline at 703-792-7000 or submit a webtip to www.pwcgov.org/policetip.
