A 20-year-old from Raleigh, NC, also died after being taken to Howard County General Hospital Friday evening, police said.
While authorities are still waiting for the toxicology reports from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, police said officers think the drug most prevalent at the event was MDMA, also known as “Molly,” the main ingredient in ecstasy.
Approximately 18 other individuals taken to the hospital for drug-related illnesses from the Mad Decent Block Party in Columbia have been treated and released, police said Sunday.
