Teen Shot In The Hand Near Woodbridge Station Apartments: Police
A 17-year-old boy was shot in the hand near the Woodbridge Station apartments on Saturday night, authorities said.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — A 17-year-old boy suffered a gunshot wound to the hand near the Woodbridge Station apartments on Saturday evening, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
The boy went to an area hospital after the shooting. Authorities said his injuries were not life-threatening.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. Investigators said the boy got into a white SUV with another person before the shooting.

911 callers reported hearing gunshots in the 13600 block of Wasp Way around 5 p.m. on Saturday. When police officers arrived in the area, they found cartridge casings and a blood trail, according to the police report. They could not find the victim, who was already on his way to an area hospital.
The victim originally told investigators that he had accidentally shot himself. "Evidence at the scene and witness accounts refute the juvenile’s claim," the police department said.

Authorities noted that the victim has not cooperated with their investigation. The police department noted that the shooting does not appear to be random.
