Teenage Girls Attempt To Rob Exxon Convenience Store: Police

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Two girls entered convenience store at an Exxon service station in Woodbridge early Thursday morning, with one of them demanding money after brandishing a stun gun, according to the Prince William County Police Department. The employee of the Exxon store, located at 12700 Minniville Rd., refused to hand over money and started throwing merchandise at the suspect with the stun gun.

The suspect brandishing the stun gun, a 15-year-old girl, ran to the rear of the store while the other girl fled the scene. The employee was able to grab and hold the girl who was then detained by police when they arrived after responding to a call at 1:32 a.m. on Dec. 19 about an attempted robbery.

After investigating the incident, the police arrested the 15-year-old, who is from Manassas, and charged her with attempted robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and assault and battery. She is being held at the Prince William County Juvenile Detention Center.

Detectives with the police department's Robbery Unit were able to identify the second suspect, also a 15-year-old female from Manassas. Attempts to locate her have been unsuccessful. She is wanted for attempted robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.
