Toddler, 3 Adults Fatally Stabbed In Woodbridge Murder-Suicide, Police Say

The stabbings, which occurred at a home in Woodbridge, remain under investigation, according to police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Four people, including a 2-year-old child, were killed Saturday morning in what Prince William County police are calling a murder suicide, according to authorities and a report.

Shortly after 8 a.m., police responded to a home in the 3400 block of Vale Court for a report of a stabbing. When police arrived, they found a child and three adults dead from stab wounds.

The presumed suspect was among those found dead in the home, police said.

The victims were identified as a man in his 40s, a woman in her 70s and a two-year-old child, WTOP reported. The suspect was identified as a woman in her 30s, who police believe was the child’s mother.

“Compare it to the worst possible nightmare you’ve ever had,” said Col. Peter Newsham, Prince William County’s police chief, according to WTOP's report. "We don’t know the exact cause or the motive in this case, but just to see a family destroyed like this is horrific."
