Toddler Dies After Drowning in Backyard Pool in Woodbridge
Family members had lost track of the child and found her unresponsive in family's pool, according to Prince William County Police.

A small child has died after falling into a family pool while unattended, according to the Prince William County Police.
Nichole Moran, 20 months old, of Woodbridge, died at an area hospital.
Police were called at 2:38 p.m. Tuesday to a home in the 15400 block of Ohio Avenue in Woodbridge.

Family members reported that the chid had been found unresponsive in the pool. The infant was pulled from the water and CPR was initiated, said police spokesperson Jonathan Perok.
“The investigation revealed that the child’s family lost track of the child and believed the child was inside the home,” according to Perok. “Upon checking the home and the outside area, the child was discovered in the pool.”

A preliminary investigation suggests the incident was an accident.
