Tournament of Turkeys Saturday in Dale City

It's a combined cooking exhibition and competition at Pitkin's Ace Hardware, and the public will get to choose the best-tasting bird.

DALE CITY, VA — Let's talk turkey, inasmuch that Thanksgiving is next week and the bird is the traditional highlight of most meals.

Bake it? Deep-fry it? Even grill it?

You'll have a chance to weigh in Saturday at the Fourth Annual Tournament of Turkeys.

The cooking exhibition begins 8:30 a.m. at Pitkin's Ace Hardware, 4340 Dale Boulevard.

At least four turkeys will be cooked, and those on hand will have a chance to judge once the birds are done between noon-2 p.m.
