Turkey Trot 10K Nov. 19 at Marine Corps Base Quantico

The festive event attracts serious runners as well as participants dressed up for the Thanksgiving season.

QUANTICO, VA — Forget running with the bulls. This is your chance to run with the turkeys — at least of the costumed variety.

It's the Turkey Trot 10K, and it's set for Saturday, Nov. 19 at Quantico's Marine Corps base at 3250 Catlin Avenue from 8:30-11 a.m.

For runners not concerned with 10K times and things of that ilk, there's also a Family Friendly Turkey Trot Mile.

Tickets for entry range from $35 to as little as $5.
